Always On The Go

Phew! The bank holiday weekend is over and there's only a week left of the school holidays, which means I should be able to get back into a routine again soon.

Conway Castle
We all took off to North Wales again for the long weekend and it was good to relax, even if my son and I did struggle a bit with our colds - who gets a cold in August?! - but I also managed to do lots of reading, some more planning for Damsel in Deceit (now a 3-oart series at least!) and I also wrote a 2,000 word short story called Jilly's Folly. I've now got plenty of reviews to write that will be springing up on here over the coming weeks, but I also came across a writing competition whilst I was away.

I am now very tempted to enter the 'New Talent' competition through Festival of Romance but can't decide whether to use the opening chapter from The Last Goodbye or Christmas is Cancelled. Decisions, decisions...

Shameless plug alert!!...

If you happen to be on Facebook, please could you vote for my photo entry to win a holiday? The link is on both my author page (please 'like' if you don't already) and my author profile (feel free to add me as a friend) and I'd be very grateful as I'd love to win a holiday voucher for my family. Voters also go into a prize draw to win a £200 holiday voucher so it could be win-win.

The other thing I've been doing is going through my Kindle and adding all the unread books onto my Goodreads to-read list but, by gosh, it's taking forever. I've added maybe 500 titles already but still have several pages to go. Note to self: add them as I go rather than hitting buy-now-with-one-click and then worrying about adding them later - sigh - at least being a Librarian, I can add missing covers and fix details etc as I go.

Oh, and have you noticed the "new look" to the blog? I spent some time last week updating it, complete with fancy toolbar and flag counter, and I would love to know what you think of it?
